Someone has lied to us. Disappointed and angry we put the blame on other people, and the world. We have a need to fight back. To punish the other side. We tell ourselves everyone else is to blame.
Why?
Because that is the moment when we feel comfortable.
It is easier when we perceive that we are good and the others are bad. Then it is easier for us. Then we don’t have to do anything. Yet, the hardest thing is to realize that the problem is within us.
But what if we looked at the other side of the story? What if we stopped thinking about ourselves? What if we see that we are not in the center of the world? What if we stopped thinking about what we need and want? What if, we see the world with our eyes closed, and we are just inflating the balloon with negative emotions as it grows bigger and bigger?
And then the balloon bursts at one point.
Then we are angry, sad and desperate. We have a desire to channel and transmit that negative emotional energy. But if we do it unconsciously, we often harm ourselves and others. Below I offer 3 steps by which we can progress instead of breaking the whole world when we are full of negative emotions.
AWARENESS
The first step is to be aware that our ego drives us to action and collects that huge amount of energy that drives us to action. At that moment, we are angry with the whole world and we want everyone who did not meet our expectations to pay the price. We want to show that we are better and superior. It is then that we need to stop and realize that our impulsiveness will in no way help us improve the situation. For a change, it would be better to take a deep breath and act calmly.
TRANSFORM
Calming alone did not get rid of those emotions. If we don’t have a way to eject it, then we’ve just postponed the moment we’ll burst. Therefore, it is necessary to strategically transform this accumulation of energy and preserve it until the moment when we will be able to release it.
ACTION
The third step is action and work. Harnessing that energy will give us extra momentum when we want to give up. Then that energy can give us an extra boost and an opportunity to focus our ego on our personal development. Remembering all the ridicule and difficulties when we are near the end of our powers can motivate us to draw more strength from ourselves we didn’t even know existed.
Therefore, keep quiet and work because the best revenge is success.
